Garage Floor Epoxy in Cape Town
A glossy, hard-wearing garage floor that laughs off oil, hot tyres and dropped tools — and wipes clean in seconds. Diamond-ground prep and premium epoxy, installed by experienced Cape Town applicators.
A garage floor built for cars, tools and real use
Garage floor epoxy is a resin coating bonded onto your concrete slab to turn a dusty, porous floor into a sealed, glossy, ultra-tough surface. It's the most popular epoxy system we install across Cape Town for one simple reason: it solves the everyday problems a garage throws at a floor. Bare concrete sheds fine dust, drinks in oil and petrol, stains permanently and cracks at the surface. A bonded epoxy floor seals all of that under a continuous, easy-clean skin.
The result is a floor that looks like a showroom and behaves like industrial flooring. Oil and brake fluid sit on top instead of soaking in, hot tyres won't lift the coating, and a quick mop brings back the shine. It suits home garages, double garages, workshops, hobby spaces and storerooms equally well — anywhere a hard, sealed, good-looking floor earns its keep.
Durability you can see and feel
Oil & chemical resistant
Engine oil, petrol, brake fluid and battery acid wipe off a sealed epoxy surface instead of staining the concrete underneath.
Handles hot tyres & traffic
A bonded high-build epoxy resists hot-tyre pickup and the daily abrasion of parking, far outlasting garage floor paint.
Easy to clean
No more dusting concrete. A mop or hose brings back the gloss, and the seamless surface gives dirt nowhere to hide.
Dust-proof & sealed
Epoxy locks down the concrete dust that coats everything in a bare garage — better for tools, storage and air quality.
Garage epoxy pricing in Cape Town
Epoxy is priced per square metre by the system you choose and the condition of the slab. As a realistic 2026 guide for Cape Town garages:
- Solid-colour garage epoxy — about R250–R400 per m²
- Flake (flake-chip) garage finish — about R350–R550 per m²
- Metallic decorative garage floor — about R450–R750 per m²
- Single garage (~18 m²) — from about R6,000
- Double garage (~36 m²) — roughly R12,000–R25,000 by finish
What moves the price: floor area, the finish and number of coats, and how much preparation the slab needs — diamond grinding, crack repair or moisture treatment. Every quote includes surface prep, premium product and professional installation. See the full epoxy flooring price guide for the complete breakdown.
Our garage floor process
Diamond grinding
We mechanically grind the slab to a clean, open profile so the epoxy bonds into the concrete rather than sitting on top.
Repair & prime
Cracks, pitting and joints are filled, moisture is checked, and a primer coat seals the surface ready for the build coats.
Apply the system
Base coat, optional flake or metallic, then a hard-wearing clear topcoat — with anti-slip broadcast in if you want it.
Cure & hand back
Walk on it inside 24 hours; park on it after roughly five to seven days once fully cured. Workshop garages first, cars last.
