Metallic Epoxy Flooring in Cape Town
Seamless floors with the look of liquid metal, polished stone and rippling water — each one hand-crafted and entirely unique. The premium decorative epoxy finish for Cape Town homes, showrooms and statement spaces.
A floor that doubles as a design feature
Metallic epoxy is the most decorative system we install. Fine metallic pigments are dispersed through a clear epoxy resin, then moved by hand, roller and torch while the resin is still wet. As it cures, the pigments swirl, pool and separate into a marbled, three-dimensional pattern with real depth — the effect people describe as liquid metal, molten stone or flowing water. Several clear topcoats are then built over the top for a deep, glass-like gloss.
Because the pattern forms organically, every metallic floor is one of a kind — you choose the palette and mood, and the cure does the rest. It's a seamless, jointless surface with no tiles to crack or grout to discolour, which is why it has become the go-to designer floor for open-plan living areas, entrance halls, boutiques, showrooms, salons and feature garages across Cape Town.
Designer looks, epoxy toughness
Unique, three-dimensional finish
No two floors are alike — the marbled, lensed effect gives genuine depth no tile or paint can match.
Your palette, your mood
From subtle pearl and pewter to bold copper, ocean or charcoal — we agree colours on sample boards first.
Seamless & high-gloss
A jointless, mirror-finish surface with no grout lines, reflecting light to make a space feel larger and brighter.
Sealed & hard-wearing
Multiple clear topcoats protect the metallic layer from abrasion and UV dulling, so the look lasts.
Metallic epoxy pricing in Cape Town
As the premium decorative system, metallic epoxy is priced per square metre at the top of the range. A realistic Cape Town guide for 2026:
- Metallic epoxy (premium decorative) — about R450–R750 per m²
- Single-pigment, subtle designs sit toward the lower end
- Multi-pigment, high-contrast feature floors sit toward the upper end
- Extra clear topcoats for depth and durability add to the figure
The price reflects the hand-finishing, the number of pigments and clear coats, and the prep your slab needs. Every quote includes diamond-ground surface preparation, premium product and professional installation. Compare systems on the epoxy flooring price guide.
Our metallic floor process
Prep & basecoat
We diamond-grind the slab, repair defects, prime, then lay a tinted epoxy basecoat as the canvas for the metallic layer.
Pour the metallics
Pigmented clear resin is applied and worked by hand, roller and torch so the colours swirl and lens into a marbled pattern.
Build the clear coats
Several clear topcoats go on once the design has cured, building the deep gloss and the protective, sealed surface.
Cure & hand back
Light foot traffic after roughly 24–48 hours from the final coat; full cure over the following week before heavy use.
